Privacy policy
This policy explains what information Estudia Lab uses, why it uses it and what your rights are, in accordance with Brazil's General Data Protection Law (Law No. 13,709/2018, LGPD).
Last updated: October 12, 2026
1. Summary
- You can generate and listen to songs and use the chord builder without an account. The account is free and is required to download and save songs from the generator.
- If you create an account, we store your email address and the creations you choose to save.
- Without an account, the songs and progressions you create stay only on your device.
- Some preferences and your saved progressions are stored in your browser.
- We count anonymously how the tools are used (for example, how many songs are generated and which styles are chosen), without cookies and without identifying you.
- The site shows Google AdSense ads, which use cookies. You can control ad personalization.
2. Information stored in your browser
To remember your choices from one visit to the next, the site uses the browser's local storage (localStorage). It stores:
- the language you chose;
- your preferred file format in the generator (MP3 or WAV);
- the chord progressions you save in "My progressions" and the chord builder settings.
This information stays only on your device. We have no access to it. You can delete it at any time by clearing the site data in your browser settings.
3. Account (optional)
You can create an account to keep songs and progressions in the cloud. In that case, we process:
- Sign-in data: your email address and, if you sign in with Google, the name and photo of your Google profile. Your password is stored encrypted; we have no access to it.
- Your creations: the name and settings of the songs and progressions you save (genre, tempo, seed, chords). The audio itself is not uploaded.
We use this data only so you can sign in to your account and access your creations. It is stored with Supabase, the database and authentication service we use, and it is not sold or used for advertising. You can delete any creation in "My creations". To delete the whole account, ask through the Contact page.
4. Usage statistics
To learn what works well and what needs improving, the site anonymously records some uses of the tools:
- the pages opened;
- clicks on "Generate song", play, download and save;
- the options chosen at those moments, such as genre, style, instruments, mode, key, tempo, duration, file format, preset progressions and band combinations.
Each browser tab gets a random code, which disappears when the tab is closed, only to count visits. We don't use cookies for this, and these records don't include your name, email, IP address or account. The records are stored with Supabase, can only be seen as totals by the site owner and are neither used for advertising nor shared.
5. Cookies and advertising
Estudia Lab is free and is supported by ads served by Google AdSense. About these ads:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's previous visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of other vendors' cookies at aboutads.info.
- Learn more at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Visitors from regions that require consent, such as the European Union, will see a message to accept or refuse advertising cookies before any personalized ad is shown.
6. Third-party services
- Hosting: the provider that hosts the site may log technical access data, such as IP address, browser and time, for security and network operation.
- Fonts: typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts. To do so, your browser connects to Google's servers, which receive your IP address.
- Account and statistics: Supabase, for sign-in, for storing the creations of account holders and for storing the anonymous usage statistics. Signing in with Google goes through Google.
- Ads: Google AdSense, as described in section 5.
Each of these services has its own privacy policy.
7. Your rights
Under the LGPD, you can ask for confirmation that we process your data, access to it, correction or deletion of it, information about who it is shared with and the withdrawal of any consent you gave. If you don't have an account, most of these requests are solved by clearing the site data in your browser or adjusting Google's ad settings. If you have an account, you can see and delete your creations in "My creations". For any other request, reach us through the Contact page.
8. Children
The site can be used by people of all ages, but it does not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you are responsible for a child and believe they have sent us personal information, contact us so we can remove it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the site gains new features. The date at the top of the page shows the last update. Important changes will be announced on the site itself.
